Nexergy Hires Senior Laird Executive as CEO

COLUMBUS, OH — March 2, 2010 — Phil Glandon, Founder and CEO of Nexergy, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of battery packs and chargers, announced today that effective March 8, 2010, former Laird Technologies executive Sean Harrigan will join the company as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Glandon, who is stepping down as CEO, stated that he and the board felt that as the company enters a stage of dynamic growth, Nexergy would benefit from an executive with Sean’s experience which includes running a $480 million global electronics business with 21 locations worldwide. Harrigan has more than thirty years of domestic and international experience. He worked with E.I. DuPont, Berg Electronics and Brush Engineered Materials, prior to joining Laird Technologies in 2003, a $1.2 billion multinational operation based in St. Louis, MO. He has actively participated as a member of the Electronics Representatives Association (ERA) Manufacturer’s Advisory Committee and as a Conference Speaker on channel marketing at the ERA’s 43rd Management and Marketing Conference as well as the 2006 EDS conference. Harrigan is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University.

Glandon will continue to work with the company, focusing on customer relationships, strategic issues and business development as well as serving on the Board of Directors.
