Battery Pack Design Outsourcing:

A Project Manager at an electronic instrument manufacturing company was having a difficult time meeting a design deadline because his product development team lacked the resources needed to get the project done on time. His team did not have knowledge of the most recent improvements in battery cell chemistry or in the latest charging techniques for optimizing the design. Unfortunately they could not afford the time to do the research to get up to speed.

The Manager partnered with Nexergy on the project, and we took over the management of the entire energy system design. We selected a cell that met the energy needs of the application and provided them with the best performance under the environmental conditions required by the application. We also made certain that at least two high quality manufacturers included the cell, or an equivalent cell, in their long-range manufacturing plans. Then, we completed the design and prototyping of the battery pack and charger on schedule, with only a minimal amount of customer resources required. As a result, the customer was able to free his team up to deal with other important aspects of the project, and he developed his device on time and within budget.
