Electrical Manufacturing Engineer - Escondido, CA

Nexergy is seeking a motivated, self-starting, high-energy manufacturing engineer to assist our San Diego area production group in manufacturing lithium-ion battery packs with safety and/or fuel gauging printed circuit boards. A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing and/or design engineering experience is required.

Responsibilities 

• start-up/improve manufacturing processes
  
• troubleshoot production fallout down to root cause
  
• assist with the development and maintenance of production test fixtures
  
• resolve electrical/technical quality issues
  
• research, purchase, upgrade, maintain and repair capital equipment
  
• ability to handle multiple tasks and projects is a must
  

Job Requirements

Abilities, Education and Training

• BSEET minimum
• strong computer skills & experience with Microsoft applications
  
• solid academic foundation in the fundamentals of analog and digital circuits
  
• must be a team-oriented engineer with excellent written and verbal skills who enjoys hands-on electronic circuit work
  
• this position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  
• must have current US passport or be able to obtain one within first month of employment

The following skills/experience are a plus:

• DC/DC converter troubleshooting skills
• battery charger troubleshooting background
• battery safety circuit architectures
• Firmware experience in C
• LabView programming
